Assumed Skills & Knowledge

Participants will learn to:

  • Follow safe work practices and risk control procedures.
  • Respond to workplace emergencies.
  • Support WSH culture development.
  • Communicate effectively at the workplace.
  • Investigate WSH incidents and report to the relevant authorities.
  • Support WSH legal compliance.
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk control.

The course is suitable for individuals who need to fulfill the role of a representative of an organization in accordance with the WDA-WSH level A competency-based training program.

Successful completion of the Level A course is a mandatory requirement to enroll in the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).

  • Be able to listen, read, speak, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
  • Preferably hold a WSH-related appointment
  • Completed 1 Pre-Requisite Module
