OVERVIEW
SSIC is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers working in the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry. On Completion of this course, the trainees should be able to recognise the safety hazards in Shipyard work, know the preventive measures to adopted, and the importance of observing Safety signs and safe work procedures. The SSIC also aims to educate workers on their rights and responsibilities.

Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health

Know and take safety precautions when working with different hazards able to respond in case of fire or emergency

- From 1st Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding has been revised to a baseline of up to 50% of the Course fee for certifiable courses approved by SSG.
- Enterprises and individuals who qualify for SSG’s enhanced subsidy schemes (SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy and Enhanced
Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)) will receive an enhanced subsidy of up to 20% – points above the baseline course fee subsidies. - For Singaporeans aged 25 and above, you can choose to tap on your SkillsFuture Credit to offset out-of-pocket expenses for this training
