OVERVIEW
The “WSQ Perform Manhole Safety Assessment” course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills in applying safe work practices and regulatory requirement on manhole and/or confined space, conduct risk assessment to identify and assess hazards, perform gas testing and record and interpret the gas measurement results activities in construction and related industries.
This course is designed for personnel appointed to perform gas testing in confined spaces/manholes prior to entry/work and periodically to ensure the atmosphere is within the confined spaces/manholes is safe for continuous occupancy
The course provide the skills and knowledge for individuals who are required to conduct safety checks on manholes and to ensure that he is familiarized with the hazards associated with such entry into the manhole and the precautions to be observed.
Completed WSQ Supervise Work in Confined Space Operation (formerly known as Safety Instruction Course (Manhole) for Supervisor) or WSQ Supervise Construction Work for Workplace Safety and Health (formerly known as BCSS) with at least 3 years of relevant experience in confined spaces/manholes
