OVERVIEW

Metal Scaffold Erection course is to provide the participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills required in proper and safe procedures of erecting and dismantling of Metal Scaffolds used in construction industry.

The “Perform Metal Scaffold Erection” is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers working in construction sites and related industries.

  • Introduction to Metal Scaffolding
  • Types and classification of scaffold systems
  • Safe work practices in the erection and dismantling of modular scaffold/ frame scaffold/ tubular independent tied scaffold/ tower scaffold
  • General Principles and requirements of SS659, WSH (Scaffold) regulations and other related WSH regulations for the erection and dismantling of metal scaffold
  • Definitions and terminology used in metal scaffold system as well as its materials
  • Requirements for ties and braces
  • Static and mobile tower scaffold and their requirements

Metal Scaffold Erection course is to provide the participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills required in proper and safe procedures of erecting and dismantling of Metal Scaffolds used in construction industry.

Written Test (MCQ & Short answer) and Practical Assessment
A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded upon completion of each unit.

Participants must be physically fit and  assumed to have:

  • Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy Level 3 and above.
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy Level 3 and above

SCs and PRs (Self-sponsored individuals must be at least 21 years old) Up to 50% of course fees
SCs aged ≥ 40 years old (SkillsFuture Mid Career Enhanced Subsidy) Up to 70% of course fees
SMEs (Enhanced Training Support for SMEs) Up to 70% of course fees
  • From 1st Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding has been revised to a baseline of up to 50% of the Course fee for certifiable courses approved by SSG.
  • Enterprises and individuals who qualify for SSG’s enhanced subsidy schemes (SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy and Enhanced
    Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)) will receive an enhanced subsidy of up to 20% – points above the baseline course fee subsidies.
  • For Singaporeans aged 25 and above, you can choose to tap on your SkillsFuture Credit to offset out-of-pocket expenses for this training
