This course provides the participant with the competencies for Emergency Response, Hazard Identification, WSH Culture Management, WSH Incident Management, WSH Performance Management, WSH Policy Development, WSH System management and Workplace Communications.

Individuals will be assessed through various methodologies such as written questioning, written assignment, case studies, practical and oral questioning etc.

Certification

A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded upon completion of each unit.

Pre-requisites

  • ES WPLN Level 5 OR GCE ‘N’ Level English Grade 5 and Mathematics Grade 5;

AND

  • Possess a Certificate in WSH (Level A), or any one of the following industry supervisor certificates:

i. Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course/Supervise Construction Work for WSH/WPH-WSH-3080-1.1 Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry (TSC Code & Title).

ii. Shipyard Supervisor Safety Course/Supervise Marine Work for WSH/WPH-WSH-3082-1.1 Workplace Safety and Health Management in Marine Industry (TSC Code & Title).

iii.  Basic Industrial Safety and Health Course for Supervisors/Supervise Manufacturing Work for WSH/WPH-WSH-3081-1.1 WSH Management in Manufacturing Industry (TSC Code & Title).

iv. Oil/Petrochemical Industry Safety Course for Supervisors/ Supervise WSH in Process Plant/ WPH-WSH-3079-1.1 WSH Management in Chemical, Process, Pharmaceutical Industries and Laboratories (TSC Code & Title).

AND

  • Have at least 1 year of WSH-relevant working experience.

  • Completed
  • 2 Pre Requisite Modules, with 1 module coming
  • from Group 1 (Industry Modules) and 1 module coming
  • from Group 2 (Soft Skills)
