This course was formerly called Safety Induction Course (Manhole) – for Supervisors. The WSQ Supervise Work in Confined Space Operation is one of the core units in all process sectors of Process Industry.

Upon successful completion of the WSQ Supervise Work in Confined Space Operations course, participants will be able to supervise and ensure safe practices for workers performing tasks in confined spaces, implement and monitor safety protocols, including hazard identification and risk assessment, for confined space operations, respond effectively to emergencies and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and procedures.

Pre-requisites

Workplace literacy and numeracy Level 5 under Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 5 or equivalent

  • From 1st Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding has been revised to a baseline of up to 50% of the Course fee for certifiable courses approved by SSG.
  • Enterprises and individuals who qualify for SSG’s enhanced subsidy schemes (SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy and Enhanced
    Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)) will receive an enhanced subsidy of up to 20% – points above the baseline course fee subsidies.
  • For Singaporeans aged 25 and above, you can choose to tap on your SkillsFuture Credit to offset out-of-pocket expenses for this training.

  • Identify the duties and responsibilities of a Confined Space Supervisor under the WSH Legislations and Codes of Practice.
