This course is only for the Low Wage Workers (LWW) in the PWM (Progressive Wage Model) – Cleaning Services sector. This course will be targeted primarily at employees who are currently undertaking a supervisory or team leader role with the technical skills and knowledge to supervise cleaning operations and cleaning operators. His or Her role would involve allocating cleaning chemicals required for cleaning biohazard decontamination process.

  • The objective of this course is to provide learners to apply the correct use of cleaning chemicals by identifying their purpose and assessing the risks involved in their usage.
  • Assess the use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Allocate the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to handle different types of cleaning chemicals.
  • Determine the quantity and types of cleaning chemicals to be loaded into the container.
  • Communicate work assignments to workers to ensure smooth operation.
  • Allocate resources to replenish the cleaning chemicals required in each container.
  • Inform the appropriate person when work cannot be carried out and/or incidents occur.
  • Monitor the workers in accordance with organizational procedures.
