This course is only for the Low Wage Workers (LWW) in the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) – Cleaning Services sector. This course will be targeted primarily at entry or junior workers in the cleaning Industry whose job involves a basic understanding to follow and comply with organizational workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and guidelines within their work environment/ environmental services industry.

The cleaning businesses are licensed by the National Environment Agency (“NEA”). To qualify for NEA’s Cleaning Business Licence / Enhanced Clean Mark Accreditation Scheme, cleaning businesses need to employ cleaners certified for WSQ courses under the Environmental Services Skills Framework, or send their cleaners for training in these cleaning courses after employing them. The licenses need to be renewed annually. We will provide training and assessment required by the cleaning businesses to fulfill NEA’s Cleaning Business Licence / Enhanced Clean Mark Accreditation Scheme requirements, every year.

Some individual trainees are looking to enter the environmental services sector (cleaning industry). Some individuals are looking for jobs with flexible work arrangements, as they must take care of family or personal commitments. The individuals want to take up cleaning courses so that they have the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and confidence to get off to a good start in the cleaning industry.

Under the new requirement for cleaning licenses, NEA would also need cleaning businesses to have their staff be trained in a core cleaning module other than the WSH Level 1 module in conjunction with the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) updates which will maximize potential training for the cleaning industries.
